All students are expected to wear full uniform at all times. Any student not in full uniform must have an explanatory note. Any unexplained lack of uniform may result in the student being removed from circulation to Independent Learning.
Students may wear a jumper/cardigan and any students who wish to wear skirts must ensure they are suitable for an educational environment.

*Students do not have to wear Morton Academy branded jumpers/cardigans. Other non-branded jumpers/cardigans can be worn instead.
Make-up, Hairstyles and Jewellery
- Minimal make-up is allowed (wipes will be provided to remove make up that is not minimal on the first instance)
- No false/acrylic nails (nail varnish remover will be provided for the first instance)
- No extreme hairstyles (coloured hairstyles are not acceptable)
- No jewellery, other than a watch is permitted (students will be asked to remove any prohibited items)
If you are unsure of what is acceptable, please discuss this with the relevant Head of Year before making any drastic decisions.
In addition:
- Mobile devices should not be used within Morton Academy (if a student is seen with a mobile device it will be confiscated and stored safely until the end of the day)
- Chewing gum is not allowed
- Sharp objects and other potentially offensive weapons are banned (Morton Academy reserves the right to search student’s bags, lockers and other belongings if it is deemed necessary)
