All students will study the following subjects as part of their Core Education:

• GCSE English Language
• GCSE English Literature
• GCSE Mathematics
• GCSE Sciences (see additional information for paths your child will be on)
• Students are entitled to one period of PSHCE and two periods of Physical Education each week.

In addition to these subjects students will have the opportunity to make a further 3 choices. To do this students are placed into 3 pathways: EBacc, Progress and Attainment. The path your child is placed on is derived from their KS2 results. The pathway that your child is on can be negotiated. In addition to these two bands there is also the optionality for your child to study the Ebacc group of subjects. Further guidance on this is in the Options booklet.
